Expand your archaeological career as a Field Archaeologist in Calgary, Alberta. This contract position requires field data collection and participation in archaeological impact assessments.
We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with entry- to intermediate-level experience to join our expanding team. This role involves working across western Canada on diverse projects, contributing to the identification of archaeological sites, and assisting in excavations. Strong communication and safety awareness skills are a must to promote our safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct preliminary field reconnaissance surveys
• Collect and record archaeological field data
• Identify and monitor archaeological and traditional use sites
• Maintain and operate field equipment safely
• Travel for shifts of 10–14 days with provided accommodation
