ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help refer children to the appropriate services when required.
- Promote land‑based activities for youth, fostering healthy relationships with their environment.
- Work closely with youth mental health supports in and outside the community.
- Develop, initiate, and implement activities that build self‑confidence and self‑esteem for female youth.
- Help drive a healthy relationship with children, the community, and the Agency.
- Engage, develop, and implement youth to identify issues, needs, goals, skills, abilities and services needed.
- Work closely with the family services team and caregivers to support goals identified by the youth.
- Engage parents and youth through existing parenting groups, family groups, or other community programs.
- Develop collaborative relationships with youth, families, and informal/formal support systems to strengthen child and youth circles.
