Position Summary
Perth County is recruiting for the position of Facilities Summer Student to assist with and learn various maintenance activities performed within the Facilities Division.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with general facility maintenance on County owned buildings in accordance with O. Reg. 332/12: Building Code
- Provide grounds maintenance, including flowers and lawn care/maintenance
- Assist with facility problem diagnostics and solutions
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain city vehicle, equipment and tools in good/safe working condition
- Maintain detailed daily logs
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping
- Lift, handle and carry equipment, supplies, and materials
