The Role
The Facilities Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our Point of Presence (POP). The role focuses on the planning, installation, and upgrading of critical network hardware. You will ensure that our physical sites—including power systems, cooling, rack space, and cabling—are built to spec, maintained for 99.999% reliability, and scaled to meet growing network demands.
Responsibilities
- POP Installation & Upgrades: Lead the physical deployment of new POP sites and the expansion of existing facilities, including site surveys, equipment positioning, and managing build-outs.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee critical facility systems: power (AC & DC, UPS, batteries, backup generators), climate (HVAC & CRAC units), and cabling (fiber pathways, patch panels, cable ladder systems).
