Overview
The Expanded Learning Program - College Intern supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children. The after-school program helps students meet state and local standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math, and offers a broad array of enrichment activities that complement their regular academic programs.
The Expanded Learning Program - College Intern provides engaging academic and enrichment programming which empowers youth and assists them in academic skill building. Interns will learn to plan and deliver youth development lessons and/or family engagement events. Successful candidates demonstrate enthusiasm, creativity, organization, a positive attitude, excellent communication, reliability, self-reflection, a growth mindset, consistency, and commitment. The program seeks program assistants to creatively plan and lead activities in the following areas:
