Main Responsibilities
- Interpret structural and architectural drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements (painting requirements, special assemblies, specialty steel grades, oversized transportation requirements, etc.).
- Review and interpret bid documents, including addenda, RFIs, clarifications, scopes of work, bid forms, price breakdowns, and related documentation.
- Analyze structural and architectural drawings and perform quantity takeoffs for steel and required accessories using Bluebeam software.
- Request pricing for specific materials and services from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare project-specific RFIs (Requests for Information) in collaboration with the Project Coordinator.
- Produce detailed reports compiling all materials required for the project, including estimated steel tonnage and project costs.
