Summary

As an Equipment Operator, you will perform highway, roadway, and structure maintenance, operating heavy equipment for tasks such as snow and ice control, installing and repairing highway signs and guardrails, maintaining roadway and radio system equipment, and performing preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to perform required maintenance duties including basic snow and ice control/removal.
• Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining highway signs and guardrails.
• Operate power tools and other equipment to perform maintenance duties.
• Keep roadways clear of hazards such as litter, waste, debris, garbage, and carcasses.
• Complete building and ground maintenance duties and routine maintenance of roadway and radio system equipment.
