**Principle Duties and Responsibilities**:- To follow up on environmental protection programs and ensure that proposals and activities for research, studies and actions related to the environment are carried out.
- To follow up to ensure that the legal provisions related to the prevention and control of the effects on the environment caused by the generation, transportation, storage, handling, treatment and final disposal of solid and industrial waste that are considered hazardous and non-hazardous are maintained.
