Duties Description The incumbent will serve as Deputy Regional Permit Administrator and provide direct supervision to Division of Environmental Permits staff in the Region 5 - Ray Brook office. Specific duties will include engaging in effective and positive communication with internal and external constituents including local, state and federal elected officials, municipalities, businesses, professional groups, and environmental and community groups; advising the Regional Permit Administrator of all sensitive issues; coordinating and ensuring compliance with the statutory requirements of UPA, SEQRA, Endangered Species Act, State Historic Preservation Act, etc.; taking action as directed by the Regional Permit Administrator on matters including emergency response, major development projects, permitting projects and support of enforcement cases; and supervising Division staff including managing workload and coordinating the training of staff in the performance of their assigned dutie...
