Engineering Operations Technician (EOT)

Amazon Data Services Canada is hiring an Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) to support its data centres in Airdrie, Alberta . The EOT is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data centre. Data centre equipment supporting mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% uptime.

Equipment maintained includes, but is not limited to: stand‑by diesel generators and related fuel systems, switchboards/switchgear, UPS systems, PDUs, AHUs, CRAHUs, CRACs, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.

Additional responsibilities include managing small-to-medium projects from design to completion, obtaining and tracking quotes for all associated costs, documenting project results, and supporting fellow technicians and third‑party vendors with hands‑on troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment in the field.
