Engineering Design Manager - Complex Heavy Systems

Job Description

• Prepare conceptual 3‑D models. Preferably on SolidWorks.
• Capable of working on medium/heavy custom designed equipment.
• Capable of reviewing technical design packages, bills of material, and technical documents.
• Able to make occasional site visits to the U.S.A.
• Comfortable with making sales presentations of designed solutions to customer problems.
• Supervisory involvement with site installations.
• Correspond with customers and vendors regarding detailed requirements.
• Scheduling of personnel.
• Review of department systems and software with any eye to improvement.
• Strong verbal and written skills.

Qualifications

• Capable of managing a department of 58 personnel.
• 10+ years custom heavy machinery design experience. Steel industry or heavy material handling equipment experience preferred.
