About Boddington
Boddington is a flagship Newmont gold and copper operation in Western Australia, located about 130 kilometres south-east of Perth and 16 kilometres from the rural town of Boddington. This large open-pit mine is among Australia’s biggest gold producers and in 2021 it became the world’s first gold mine to implement an Autonomous Haulage System (driverless haul trucks) – a pioneering step for safety and innovation.
