We are hiring a full-time, permanent Engineer, Grid Operations position working out of Edmonton, AB at Hugh J. Bolton Service Center.
This role will support the safe, reliable, and evolving operation of our electric grid. This role focuses on advanced grid technologies, real-time system support, and power system analysis, serving as a key link between grid operations, planning, and engineering teams.
You will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing systems such as ADMS, EMS, and DERMS, while supporting System Control Operators and contributing to grid modernization initiatives.
What you’d be responsible for
- Manage and maintain grid operations platforms (ADMS, EMS, DERMS) to support real-time system operations
- Provide real-time engineering support to System Control Operators during normal and contingency conditions
