Emergency Communications Officer (ECO) – Calgary 9-1-1
Calgary 9-1-1 is calling you. As an Emergency Communications Officer, you’ll serve as the critical link between people who need help, and those who can help them.
Responsibilities
- Answer police calls (both emergency and non‑emergency) and ensure callers receive the required resources and support.
- Analyze events, assess risk, and adapt to high‑pressure, ever‑changing priorities and situations.
- Use Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and other technologies to perform tasks effectively.
- Make critical decisions under pressure and maintain focus and attention to detail.
- Work in a safety‑sensitive position, adhering to performance standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with emergency professionals and support the team throughout shifts.
