Electronic Technician - Port Equipment

MAJOR FUNCTIONS

Perform electronic maintenance and fault‑finding duties by performing electronic maintenance and fault‑finding duties, tests electronics units, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Performs preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems.
• Identifies and resolves equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts.
• Provides user applications and engineering support and recommendations for new and existing equipment with regard to installation, upgrades and enhancement.
• Responsible for the efficient and safe methods of work in the port and around workshops.
• Provides servicing and repairing port ship to shore cranes, Rubber tyres gantry cranes and rail mounted gantry cranes and associated equipment.
