Basilisk Industries is building a high‑power electron beam system for industrial rock cutting. We aim to transform the mining and drilling industries, driving down the cost of geothermal power and the critical minerals that the energy transition needs. We are looking for an outstanding electrical engineer to join our team.
What you’ll do:
Beginning with subsystem development and progressing to full scale, and working closely with our pulsed power and physics leads, your work will involve the design of all the electrical aspects of a high‑power electron beam. This includes high voltage pulsed power and trigger subsystems, coil drivers and related power supplies, data acquisition and telemetry, and system controls. A lot of the work will involve hands‑on prototyping – we will need you to work with suppliers and manufacturers to have components made quickly and accurately and then assemble and test them in our lab.
