We are seeking a compassionate, dependable caregiver to support an 86-year-old gentleman living in Victoria, BC.
This position would suit an experienced caregiver, Health Care Assistant (HCA), Community Health Worker (CHW), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or someone with equivalent senior care experience who enjoys providing one-on-one support in a home setting.
About the Client
The client is cognitively sharp, enjoys conversation and companionship, and is mobile with a walker. He requires assistance with personal care and daily routines but does not require transfers.
Responsibilities
• Assistance with personal care, dressing, and grooming
• Medication reminders
• Meal preparation and meal support
• Condom catheter application at bedtime and removal in the morning as part of an established routine
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Companionship and social engagement
• Monitoring general well-being and communicating concerns to family as needed
