Become part of the Eileen Dailly Leisure Pool & Fitness Centre team as an Aquatic Programs Instructor and Lifeguard. Help patrons learn aquatic skills while ensuring a safe environment.
This position combines lifeguarding with teaching aquatic skills, ensuring guests can safely enjoy their experience at the facility. You will carry out essential maintenance duties alongside your primary instructional role, contributing to the overall appearance and safety of the pool. Excellent communication skills will support your interactions with patrons and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide attentive lifeguarding services during shifts
• Instruct patrons on aquatic techniques per standards
• Perform janitorial tasks to maintain pool safety
• Exercise firmness and tact as needed
• Collaborate with supervisors regarding performance feedback
Requirements:
• High school graduation or equivalent training
• Relevant certifications in lifesaving and instruction
