Activities
- Provides hands‑on technical assistance and first line supervision of personnel for day‑to‑day activities; plans and coordinates work and activities of staff to include work assignments and work schedules with responsibility for implementing goals for technical operations, services or projects.
- Identifies issues and recommends feasible solutions regarding operations, services and/or personnel; provides EHS Manager input regarding annual performance evaluations.
- Manages a subset of EHS Section's responsibilities (e.g., hazardous waste management is a subset of Chemical/Biological Safety, electrical safety is a subset of Occupational Safety), often including University wide program(s), with accountability for the quantity and quality of the work (e.g., waste pickups) of assigned staff.
