Educational Counsellor II

Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Student Development and Counselling, the Educational Counsellor II is a senior member of the SAIT Academic Faculty Association. This role provides personal and career counselling, delivers psycho‑educational workshops and mental health training, and participates in departmental and professional development activities.

Key Initiatives

• A new service delivery model for the Taylor Family Campus Centre (TFCC), featuring single‑session counselling within a community‑based student wellness hub.
• The pilot Graduate Counselling Practicum Supervision Program.
• Recovery‑focused supports offered through the Zen Den and Natoysopoyiis.

Working primarily on SAIT’s main campus, with responsibilities that may extend to satellite campuses and occasional after‑hours support, this role plays a critical part in shaping counselling services across SAIT.
