The Opportunity

Hunter New England Health (HNE Health) provides a range of public health services to the Hunter, New England and Lower Mid North Coast regions.

Gloucester Hospital is an 80-bed campus which consists of a 20-bed acute ward, 15-bed aged care transitional ward, 25-bed nursing home and a 20-bed hostel. Shifts are 0800-0800 24 hr on call.

• The Locum Medical Officer will be responsible for managing patients in the Emergency Department and Inpatient Ward
• 24hr on call shifts. Locum will be on call for the entire period of contract and be expected to be available for all triage categories.
• Medical support and advice via existing pathways, available via telehealth and phone through the Retrieval services, Manning Base Hospital and John Hunter Hospital.
