Responsibilities

• Assists residents with loading and unloading from facility approved vehicles.
• Ensures the safe transportation of residents to scheduled medical appointments or other approved activities and outings.
• Maintains the interior and exterior of facility vehicles to promote safe and comfortable transport and project a positive image in the community.
• Monitors vehicle maintenance logs and delivers vehicles for regularly scheduled maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Is flexible with work time (in the event a resident appointment or activity runs late).
• Has training and is able to demonstrate safe clinical-based transfer techniques for
  • Ingress and egress of mobile patients with van transfers of patients into and out of wheelchairs.
  • Properly securing wheel‑chair bound residents into bays in vans.
