RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate passenger vehicles safely and efficiently with constant awareness of road conditions, particularly in poor weather and heavy traffic
- Avoid passenger-jarring maneuvers, such as sudden stops and turns, and potential accident-causing situations
- Follow specific regularly scheduled routes, charter routes or respond to requests from dispatch or management for unscheduled pickups or drop-offs
- Assist passengers in boarding and exiting vehicles
- Load and unload luggage, packages and other items
- Monitor traffic and weather conditions and notify dispatch of potential problems
- Report accidents or other safety situations to dispatch
- Inspect exterior and interior of vehicle at the beginning of each shift for properly operating headlights, turn signals, brake lights, interior courtesy lamps, air conditioning or heating, warning lamps, mirror adjustment, properly inflated tires, windshield wipers...
