A Draftsman is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers. These drawings are used for construction, manufacturing, and engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools
- Interpret design concepts, sketches, and specifications from engineers or architects
- Develop layouts, sections, elevations, and detailed drawings
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations
- Revise drawings based on feedback and project changes
- Maintain drawing records and documentation
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project teams
- Perform site visits if required to gather measurements or verify designs
