Responsibilities
- Ensure all DNS issues are resolved in a timely manner, with minimal impact on customers.
- Perform high‑level troubleshooting and analysis to determine the root cause of DNS outages and implement workarounds and/or permanent solutions.
- Isolate hardware and software problems on servers and work with vendors to resolve issues as necessary.
- Perform and/or direct break/fix maintenance, such as RMAs, patching, builds, etc.
- Perform and/or direct proactive server maintenance, such as code upgrades, hardware refreshes, config updates, and clean up/decommission.
- Work collaboratively with operations, engineering, and architecture teams to identify ways in which we can proactively improve the stability of the services and decrease potential for future outages to occur.
- Provide tier 2 technical expertise for DNS related issues.
