Key Responsibilities
- Capacity Planning & Optimization: Manage daily dispatch for inbound/outbound warehouse vehicles. Coordinate resources between internal fleets and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers to maximize vehicle load factors and turnover efficiency.
- SLA & Timeline Management: Monitor key milestones for line-haul transportation and last-mile delivery. Develop contingency plans for peak seasons or promotions to ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance.
- Exception Handling: Respond rapidly to unexpected transit issues (e.g., vehicle breakdowns, traffic congestion, cargo damage). Coordinate internal and external resources to resolve issues and minimize business impact.
- Cost Control: Audit transportation invoices. Analyze data on fuel consumption, tolls, and outsourcing fees. Reduce average logistics costs per order through route optimization and vendor negotiations.
