Disability Support Worker

Position Purpose

This position provides direct front‑line support to individuals in the START program (Support Today Achieves Results Tomorrow) to empower them to live life to their fullest potential.

Accountabilities

• Provide personal care support such as bathing, catheter care, incontinence care, oral care, grooming, and other required hygiene tasks.
• Deliver day and evening program supports per approved shift in the community.
• Ensure prescribed medication is properly dispensed, documented, and monitored.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for individuals.
• Perform lifts, transfers, and operate mechanical transfer equipment as needed.
• Follow procedures outlined in Behavioural Support Plans and demonstrate knowledge of related training where applicable.
• Assist with household chores, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and daily tasks as specified in the group home list.
