Overview
The Director, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) is responsible for driving EHS strategy, compliance, and performance across multiple manufacturing sites in North America for the Silent-Aire business unit. This role provides leadership to site‑level EHS Managers and ensures alignment with corporate objectives while fostering a Zero Harm culture. Safety Through Lean Business Systems
Embed safety as a core pillar within the Lean Business System across all sites Drive structured problem solving using A3 thinking, root cause analysis, and validated countermeasures Implement tiered accountability (Tier 1–Tier5) with safety embedded into daily tier board reviews and escalation processes Ensure visual management systems clearly communicate safety KPIs, abnormalities, and action plans Establish robust action planning with clear ownership, due dates, and disciplined follow‑up Deploy leader standard work to ensure consistent safety behaviors including Gemba walks, lay...
