Director, Engineering - Consultant

Canada's leader in Asset Servicing is transforming itself to be a digitally driven organization, building its first generation of digital and AI enabled products on a new platform and infrastructure stack within a complex, regulated, and growth-oriented financial services environment. The Technology Division requires senior engineering leadership on a consulting basis to establish the foundations for that build and to deliver a defined set of outcomes.

This engagement is defined by the outcomes it produces. The consultant will bring application engineering discipline and best practices to an environment that currently has none in place and will resolve an open question about the right build approach. The current low code development capability is delivered by citizen developers with limited engineering background, with no source control, no software development lifecycle, and no monitoring or alerting.
