Principal Accountabilities
The Direct Wrap Screen Operator sets up and operates direct-wrap screen manufacturing machines to produce sand-control screens in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards. The role ensures accurate machine setup, consistent weld wrap quality, productivity and safety and supports achievement of production targets.
Job Responsibilities
- A Machine Setup / Operation
- Set up and operate direct-wrap screen machines, including loading of wire rods and base pipe.
- Set machine parameters such as wrap pitch, tension, weld current and speed per specification and product requirements.
- Operate the machine through the wrapping and resistance-welding process to produce screens that match the drawing.
- Achieve production targets while maintaining quality and minimising scrap.
