Position Summary
A Direct Support Professional works as scheduled by the Regional Manager and/or his/her designee. Overtime may be required as dictated by operational needs, however, no holiday or overtime may be worked without prior approval of the Direct Support Professional's supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the client’s inclusion in positive community experiences. Transport clients to appointments, community activities, or other locations as needed, ensuring safety and timeliness during travel.
- Maintain current knowledge of client’s needs and maintain positive communications and relationships with supervisor, clients, landlords, employers, involved family members, Regional Center, D.O.R., and other individuals in the community.
- Participate in the evaluation of the client through completion of task analysis and other requested assessment devices.
