Job Description

Permanent Part‑time Dietary Aide position in a 175‑bed long‑term care facility in Oshawa, Ontario. The role reports to the Dietary Manager and assists with food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Serves food to residents according to individual diets and preferences.
• Observes time limits for meal serving.
• Maintains food at proper serving temperature.
• Assists cooks with cleaning and preparing uncooked foods such as salads, vegetables, and fruits.
• Prepares simple foods such as breakfast items, basic desserts, and garnishes following basic instructions.
• Clears plates and trays, loads and operates the dishwasher, and cleans pots, pans, and utensils according to procedure.
• Participates in proper storage and labeling of dietary supplies and food, including leftovers.
