Mechanics must be physically fit experienced motor mechanic with good attention to details to work in our busy bus service centre. The primary duties of a mechanic include performing diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to find faults, analysing diagnostic test results, and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking or lighting system components for the fleet of buses and heavy vehicles.
Mechanics need to be highly organized and communicate effectively, as they will be expected to maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles and interact with customers daily.
Mechanic Responsibilities:
- General servicing and maintenance of vehicles including checking lighting systems and performing preventative maintenance
- Safety inspections, adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
- Breakdown and mechanical repairs, providing customers with estimated time for repairs
