Join OSM Thome as Deck and Engine Fitter on bulk carriers trading worldwide. You will work closely with deck and engine crew to keep the vessel, systems and equipment in safe and efficient condition.
- **Key responsibilities**:
- Carry out steel repairs, welding and cutting on deck and in engine room
- Maintain and repair pipelines, brackets, foundations and ship structures
- Assist with maintenance of deck and engine machinery and equipment
- Support docking, repair periods and special projects as instructed
- Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work at all times
- **Requirements**:
- Previous experience as Fitter on seagoing vessels, preferably bulk carriers
- Strong welding and gas-cutting skills (arc, MIG/MAG, etc.)
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Good English communication and ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew
- Safety-minded, hardworking and willing to support both deck and engine teams
