Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and optimize IBM Db2 for z/OS databases.
- Perform performance tuning using EXPLAIN, SQL analysis, catalog reviews, MainView, and Query Monitor.
- Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Troubleshoot database, SQL, locking, catalog, and performance issues.
- Implement database security, access controls, authentication, and auditing.
- Design schemas, indexing strategies, normalization, and capacity planning.
- Support production, test, and development environments.
- Collaborate with application teams and provide technical guidance.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Db2 for z/OS administration.
- Expertise in performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting.
