Responsibilities

• Control the operations and activities of correctional facilities and detention centres
• Direct the delivery of social and community service programs
• Hire and provide training for professional and non-professional staff
• Administer the programs of non-governmental organisations involved with social issues
• Direct and advise professional and non-qualified staff
• Establish administrative procedures
• Manage the operations and activities of social and community centres, correctional facilities and detention centres
• Plan, administer and control budgets for projects, programs, support services and equipment
• Represent the organization for government liaison and media relations
• Develop policies, procedures and contingency plans to minimise the effects of security breaches

Qualifications

Education: College/CEGEP
