Database Administrator (Contract)

This role sits within the IT Operations Division – Infrastructure Services Management Team.

• Design, implement, and maintain Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL (including pgvector) database systems to support critical banking operations.
• Develop and implement high availability technologies such as Oracle RAC, SQL Server Always On and PostgreSQL high availability solutions.
• Optimize database performance, security, and availability through proactive monitoring and tuning.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate database solutions with other IT systems and applications.
• Monitor for database vulnerabilities and perform regular upgrades and patches.
• Automate common database maintenance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
