Data and BI Support Analyst

Overview

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking, on behalf of our client, a Data & BI Support Analyst to support the Business Intelligence function. The role is office-based in Gauteng and will work closely with the BI Manager to transform raw, multi-source data into reliable, timely, and actionable insights. The position blends strong data fundamentals with modern AI‑assisted analysis to accelerate insight generation, reporting delivery, and decision support.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines (ETL) from SQL databases, Excel/CSV and other sources.
• Develop, publish, and iterate dashboards and reports in Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, and Power Query.
• Write performant SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and KPI calculations.
• Assist with implementing data quality checks in reporting and apply sound best practices in validating data before distribution.
