POSITION PURPOSE AND EXPECTATION:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Customs Compliance Specialist to join our team in Tijuana.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring our company's import and export activities comply with all applicable customs regulations, trade agreements, and internal policies.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Mexican customs laws, USMCA/T-MEC regulations, and other applicable trade agreements
- Prepare and review import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and customs declarations
- Classify products according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and determine appropriate duty rates
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to facilitate smooth cross-border operations
