The Customer Relations Assistant receives (by telephone, fax or email) requests for quotations, orders, and lead times from customers. S/he makes quotations on standard items, writes orders, and relays pertinent order information to customers and coordinates with other departments in handling purchase orders and providing service to customers.
Duties
- Answer phone and take orders from customers
- Document customers orders (Sales Order, Sales Invoice) properly
- Retrieve customer information, stock status information, the status of purchase orders, and to make changes on customer purchase orders. Ensures that correct codes are used for retrieving and inputting information.
- Contact customers if an item is out of stock to determine a resolution
- Answer question of customers regarding our products and usage
