Use your knowledge and experience of Indigenous history, cultural practices, and views to support others in learning more about their own cultural practices and views.
Responsibilities
- Engage tenants in cultural and community activities.
- Provide a culturally safe and respectful space for tenants to engage with support staff and one another.
- Provide informal supportive counselling and crisis management.
- Provide opportunities for socialization.
- Foster a sense of safety and belonging within the building.
- Update the communication log daily at the end of each shift (Shared Folder).
- Enforce building policies and procedures.
- Appropriately respond to any behaviors that put the tenants, children, or others in the building at risk.
- Report lease violations to the Landlord.
- Cleaning and general maintenance of the community room.
