Cross Border Operations Intern

Establish relationships with all rail providers: ie. KCS-M, FXE, UP, CSX, CP amongst others
- Collaborate with other Uber Freight departments
- Monitor flow balance (demand and capacity) in the network, as well as to ensure the best capacity procurement (in dray and rail)
- Pro-actively identify and communicate issues and solve problems related to each pricing request
- Constant and pro-active communication with rail and dray service providers
- Maintain Celtic system updated and accurate
- Secure a working knowledge of the customer’s needs and policies
- Develop and negotiate pricing strategies, quotes and proposals with service providers for submission to customers
- Act as a liaison to Operations and Sales regarding bids and template generation/ update/ system maintenance
- Grow total net revenue margins by identifying pricing actions that encourage higher sale values
