Position Description – Counselling Program Facilitator

The incumbent for this position will have at a minimum a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from an accredited university and/or an equivalent combination of experience plus a diploma from a community college in a related field.

The incumbent will bring a combination of direct experience in providing case management and programming to at risk youth and adults along with an understanding of and ability to relate to the diversity of demographics within Toronto. The incumbent will have excellent conflict resolution skills, case management and group work skills and an understanding of gang life and gang culture within Toronto and use of trauma informed approach.

The incumbent will be familiar with Cognitive Behavioural Interventions and identification of criminogenic factors, using Motivational Interviewing and Stages of Change to assist individual intervention plans. You will have demonstrable experience worki...
