General Responsibilities
- Supports close activities for the company to accurately report results within the closing cycle
- Prepare, reconcile, and report on relevant cost accounting close activities
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Assist in maintaining cost accounting system, documentation, records, and reporting
- Assist with analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs
- Review and document costs for all external inventory, labor, and material purchases
- Prepare and complete internal cost audits
- Review and document inventory and material purchases
- Accurately record and update existing and new purchased materials and goods
- Compile documentation on standard costs and company production costs
- Ensure compliance to applicable accounting guidelines, polices, and internal control procedures
