Coordinator, Work-integrated Learning Initiatives

Duties

The Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Initiatives Coordinator is a member of the Centre for Experiential Learning and Student Engagement within the Career Studio team. Reporting to the Director, the Coordinator provides institution-wide leadership and coordination for initiatives that strengthen the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of work-integrated and experiential learning across Vancouver Island University.

Working collaboratively with faculties, academic programs, employers, and campus partners, the Coordinator develops resources, tools, systems, and professional development opportunities that support WIL implementation and continuous improvement. The role advances institutional priorities related to experiential education, quality assurance, risk management, employer engagement, and student success while supporting alignment with provincial and national WIL frameworks and leading practices.
