Job Description Offshore Recruiting Services Inc. (ORSI) on behalf of the GWNT Marine Transportation Services (MTS) as owner operator of the Hay River Shipyard has an immediate opening for the position of Coordinator – Marine Engineering.

Overview

Applies technical and professional skills to the maintenance, repair, and improvement of the Marine Transportation Services fleet and associated infrastructure.

Provides technical advice to the Marine Transportation Services Management Team related to fleet renewal and vessels refits, as well as an operational plan for the maintenance of vessels to maintain certification and safety.

Assists marine engineers and ensures that onboard technical activities meet the requirements of Transport Canada.

Requirements

Transport Canada Marine Engineering Certificate or equivalent.

5 years of experience in the planning and execution of marine vessel maintenance.
