Detailed Overview
Under the general supervision of the Cook IV, performs a variety of tasks including measuring, combining, grinding, blending and slicing food ingredients for food and beverage preparation and production. Provides general assistance in food production and distribution.
Responsibilities
- Prepares all salads, sandwiches, cold plates by procedures such as measuring, mixing and blending.
- Counts, weighs and/or measures ingredients as assigned.
- Assists Cooks by measuring, combining, grinding, blending and slicing food ingredients, as directed.
- Assists in vegetable and fruit preparation by washing, slicing, dicing and grating.
- Removes and delivers food items from storage areas to work areas.
- Packages, labels and transfers food items to freezer or refrigerator storage. Rotates food items in the freezers.
