Position Summary
Under the direction of the Support Services Manager and/or designate, the Cook is responsible for the daily preparation of all foods for residents, guests and employees from an assigned menu, ensuring safe food handling methods are followed, maintaining a safe & sanitary workplace and controlling inventory.
Position Responsibilities
- Prepare and/or be responsible for the preparation and delivery of all foods for residents, guests, and employees.
- Review menus and production sheets before preparing.
- Ensure the use of proper food handling techniques.
- Complete daily temperature audits for fridges, freezers, and storerooms, and record findings on the daily audit form.
- Prepare and serve foods for therapeutic/specialty diets according to planned menus.
