Job Summary

Under the direction of the Manager or designate, this position is responsible for the food services delivery of which includes nutritional meal planning, preparing and serving meals, providing direction to Cook 1s, food service workers, clients, and/or volunteers, and performing related administrative functions.

Responsibilities

• Estimate food and supply requirements based on menus and inventory levels.
• Place purchase orders with external suppliers, receive supplies, check invoices, store and distribute supplies, and investigate invoice anomalies and damaged shipments.
• Shop for food items and monitor kitchen expenditures.
• Plan and cook meals and snacks in accordance with established menus and recipes, including cooking, roasting, grilling, baking, testing for palatability, and carving.
