ControllerSchool District #28 (Quesnel) is looking for a qualified individual to join our district as a full-time Controller. Reporting to the Secretary-Treasurer, the Controller leads the District's accounting operation functions. The Controller is responsible for: Developing and maintaining financial systems and records, including the chart of accounts and general ledger software for finance Reviewing budgets and expenditures at the school and department levels to ensure compliance with the overall District budgets Preparation and/or supervision of Ministry of Education reports and other financial reports as required Development and maintenance of financial controls Providing support to the Secretary-Treasurer in the preparation of the annual budget submissionPreparation of annual financial statements Supervising finance staff and overseeing school based clerical staff on all financial functions Managing and overseeing audit functions and ensuring compliance with public sector accoun...
